As it is, they are "just" what they are during the Trump administration.
About eleven years ago I heard from some family that Obama was planning on revoking the dollar and replacing it with the amero. Yeah, that totally transpired, didn't it? I also got forwards about FEMA camps. But then I'd hear from blue state friends about how W was going to suspend the Constitution; declare martial law; and make himself dictator for life with emergency powers.
The paranoia spans the spectrum and it may not be based so much on what is actually happening as it is built upon a dread about what is within the realm of possibility with the powers available.
We live in a curious age where Noam Chomsky and Pat Buchanan somehow overlapped in their criticism of American imperial over-reach. There are crazy ideas in the "far right" and "far left" but what may animate them is a skepticism about the viability of the liberal/neoliberal "center", a "center" that over the last thirty years may have been exemplified by Clintonism and that's too thumbnail a sketch for why it seems that the "plandemic" folks would be even more paranoid about covid 19 as a planned one world conspiracy to take away American's rights if Clinton had actually won, even if as her fans would like to imagine she'd have handled the pandemic situation better than the actual sitting executive. Maybe ... but in response to such a president the plandemic folks would probably be even more paranoid.
Trump being executive may paradoxically make that particular paranoid impulse weaker than it would have been had HRC won.
Just a glum idea tossed out on the net for the weekend.
