Update on mars Hill Orange county building

Well, perhaps today's announcement can help explain more of the background for this:

It would explain why they've had an incentive to suggest churches ask if they can be part of Mars Hill.  If Mars Hill Orange County just got served an eviction notice by the city of Santa Ana then the church has probably been aware for a few months they've been needing an alternative venue.  Mars Hill has retained legal counsel and is willing to stand their ground if they find evidence that this eviction is about anti-Christian bullying or bigotry.

Oh Calvary Santa Ana would never integrate with Mars Hill OC...unless they did what they did at Doxa and convinced all the old folks somehow. Although I did receive a letter from Calvary looking for cash to update their buildings. The scary thing is that Mars Hill would inherit a school.

I remember Mark bragging about being approached to have he and and his family becoming a reality show. Numerous times. The way he exploits his children (as evidenced in the linked video), I'm puzzled as to why he didn't go for the reality show. :)

Regardless, it saddens me that any church can be shut down in such a way. Passive persecution. I do not like MHC at all and it took the Lord to open my eyes, but that's no right. We'll have to see what happens.

Well Driscoll's got Pastor Mark TV and maybe that is better for him.

As for the possibility of passive persecution, I'm not so sure. Proverbs 18:17 and all that. If Mars Hill can trot it out to say their side hasn't been considered I can do the same favor to the city of Santa Ana. Maybe they have served an eviction notice for a stupid or punitive reason but we'll have to wait and see. Maybe the eviction is justified and Mars Hill, as Driscoll noted, might actually be guilty of breaking some kind of law. We won't know for a while yet.
