I was thrilled this week to be able to interview Scott Thomas. Scott is the author of the new book, Gospel Coach: Shepherding Leaders to Glorify God, along with Tom Wood. He has also served as president and network director of Acts 29 Network and as an elder at Mars Hill Church.
Has also served as president and network director of Acts 29 Network and as an elder at Mars Hill Church. As of May 17, 2012 these are all described as in the past.
As I've blogged earlier this year, Scott Thomas has stopped being a pastor in any capacity either at Mars Hill or at Acts 29 Network. The weekend after former Mars Hill pastor Paul Petry went on record with a pile of documents at Joyful Exiles about how he was fired and what roles Scott Thomas, Jamie Munson, and Mark Driscoll played in that process, Matt Chandler mentioned that Scott Thomas told him over dinner he felt the Lord had released him from leading Acts 29.
What was published at Joyful Exiles? If you haven't read Joyful Exiles it went up back on March 19 or March 20.
Then on March 28, 2012 Scott Thomas posted this letter:
If it all seems pedestrian confirming basic facts and events often is pedestrian but not all basic facts and events have equally pedestrian significance.
