The thing about score analysis ..

Is that it takes time, time I haven't really made yet. I promised at the start of this blog that I would present some score analysis and haven't done anything yet. My own compositions have been a bit distracting (in a good way). But I was serious about proposing to analyze Koshkin's sonata for flute and guitar.

For those of you who are interested in chamber works for oboe and guitar keep your eyes peeled for the reprtint of Napoleon Coste's works for those two instruments (the violin can be substittued) sometime later this summer. I know this only because I've inquired into the status of these pieces with some vendors. This is not a totally random subject change because those are scores I hope to study when I can actually purchase them. I have a friend who plays oboe.

Jesus was crucified by a bipartisan committee

As a friend of mine has written once or twice, all political ideologies and statements can finally be reduced to bumper sticker slogans. Well, there's mine. If you know a bit about the Pharisees and Sadducees this one isn't that hard to explain and you probably already know what I'm talking about! But if youo're not familiar with what the S's and P's thought or taught then it might take a while to explain.

Well, more qualified bloggers than I could field this one or have fielded it already. That's what links are for!
